Enjoy a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of busy tourist sites at our 17th century chateau in western France, just south of the Loire River, 1.5 hours from the warm Atlantic ocean.  Immerse yourself in French language and culture, de-stress in the tranquility of the pastoral setting while absorbing the beauty and inspiration of French country life.

Vacation Options
1. Rent the entire chateau and grounds for your family or friends and plan your own outings. (We'll offer ideas, of course, if you like). There's no need to rough it in the French Countryside!  Return home to comfort and luxury after a day of visiting chateaux, wineries, open air markets, roman churches, gardens and museums.  Enjoy the pool, tennis court, leisurely walks through our 6 acre park of ancient trees and formal French gardens. Sleeps 8.
2. Rent the adjoining villa for a smaller family or friends traveling together.   Sleeps 6.
3.  Rent both the chateau and the adjoining villa for a grand family reunion vacation.
4.  Enroll in French Language & Culture Classes at LeChateau School of the Arts and lodge at Villa LaChouette, Chateau LaVénauderie or other properties in the ancient village of 560 friendly people.  Daily language classes in or on the chateau grounds, excursions to fun and interesting sites only available to locals and plenty of time to relax and enjoy chateau life will make this the vacation of a lifetime.

To visit France with the whole family is a gift to each member that will never be forgotten and is best appreciated by learning at least the basics of the language. Once the fear of interaction is broken and you are able to speak to the locals the more fun it will be, allowing you to enter a level of tourism of much greater depth than that which is accessible to non-speakers.

It's beautiful under the walnut tree whether it's summer or winter in the 2nd sunniest region of France.
